Welcome to the website of the United Benefice of Brailsford, Ednaston, Osmaston,
Shirley and Yeaveley - five churches working in close partnership, in the south
of the Derby Dales. There are a variety of services each Sunday and during
the week and you will be very welcome at any of them. Whether you
are looking for a church, wanting to get married or have your child
baptised or have questions about Christianity we hope this website
will answer your questions. If it doesn't please give us a call.

Midweek 

Our midday, Wednesday service of Holy Communion at Shirley continues throughout Lent.  All welcome.

Pram Service 2pm on Tuesdays at All Saint's Brailsford. Click here for our Pram Service rota.

Ladies Bible Study Group: meetings are held 10.45am on second Wednesday of the month.  Next meeting is  Wednesday 10 February.  Please note that there will be weekly meetings during Lent: Wed 3 March, Wed 10 March & Wed 24 March.  Please come along and join this informal group which meets at Corner Farm Barn Ednaston (opposite The Yew Tree Inn).

Daffodil Music Fest Saturday 3 April 2010 from 12 noon to 4pm at All Saints' Brailsford - organ recital by Ben Bloor, recently appointed as organ scholar to St George's Chapel Windsor, talk by local wildlife guru Barry Potter and more.  Click here for more details.

Easter Eggstravaganza Friday 2 April 2010 at St Martin's Osmaston - Easter activity for children upto and including Year 6 - families welcome.  Click here - more information coming soon.

Flowers in Brailsford Churchyard

Mary writes

"I have made a survey of Brailsford Churchyard since January 1st to record all plants as they come into flower. This has included the Wild Flowers, the Grasses and Rushes, the Trees, and Ferns. To date, this now totals 121 different natural plants in the churchyard, which includes; Wild Flowers 98, Trees 9, Grasses and Rushes 12 and Ferns 2."

A Sunday Kids Club for primary school age children (a creche is also available) that meets at the Coronation Hall in Omaston. Craft, singing, stories, games and more on the 4th sunday of each month with registration at 10.20am. Parents are welcome to stay during the club or can take the opportunity to attend a relaxed, peaceful service in the church. Details of dates for the next two months can be found on the links above under Services section.  Further details are available from the Church Office.
